Welcome to our archaeological adventure! We are very happy that you found us, and hope you will enjoy following our discoveries and struggles on the arctic tundra.

We are ready to set off. A few days ago the coolers filled with equipment was firmly taped shut in the basement of St Mary’s, Aberdeen, and sent to Quinhagak. We shipped Rick off on a plane to Alaska this morning, and tomorrow it’s my turn to leave. Please come back and see how we’re doing.

See you again soon!

Love the updates, a great idea especially to keep us former excavators in the loop. Sounds like an exciting start already and I cannot wait to hear more. Hope this season is as fruitful as past ones!

It’s almost five years after your first post. I’m just finding your project blog and enjoying reading through the frequent posts. Thanks so much for the public archaeology approach to your research and for all the background and community coordination that makes that approach possible. The structure of your project is a a great example. I see Rick’s fingerprints. Good luck with the work in future years. (9 July 2017)
