The Nunalleq project, with Rick as its figurehead, has been awarded the University of Aberdeen Principal’s Price for Public Engagement with Research, and Rick (and his valkyrie side kicks) received the price in a ceremony on Sunday, as part of the Aberdeen University May Festival (where we were speaking a year ago).

principal's prize...It is a great that the University acknowledge the non-acadeic side of research and appreciate the value of the integrated, collaborative work that the people in Quinhagak, the corporation, volunteers, students, and the Aberdeen University Archaeology department do together, and this is a prize we share with everyone who has engaged their time into this project. Thank you!

Charlotta
