Day Zero – Continued…

July 3, 2015

Things are moving forward at site. The four wheelers have been running warm today, screens, benches, tarps, digging equipment, you name it, are in place, and the Q-corp guys, with the help of Roman and Tristan who decided to celebrate his 16th birthday by helping out at the site (thank you Tristan) have put the second tent up. The weather was fantastic today, so we decided to create an outdoors office to do some admin type work while waiting for the tides to go out so we could take the next load down the beach.

You could have worse work spaces...

No complaints here…

And with increased trailer experiences we didn’t get ourselves stuck once – despite some heavy loads. Driving down the beach in magnificent sunshine – you could have worse days in the office…

The only real downer – which has been Rick’s headache all day – is that our coolers with field equipment (and field clothes!) are stuck in customs yet to be released… and since July 4th is coming up no one will deal with them until Monday. Good thing the weather’s on our side

Lucky to be driving on the beach – yes, may worse days spent at the office. Are you expecting any nuisance bugs? No fun washing clothes by hand – hope customs releases your things soon. M
