Lab Angel

July 25, 2018

It was Christmas in July today as we eagerly opened four large boxes sent to us from Linda McDowell. You may remember from earlier posts that a group of volunteers from the Sierra Club joined us for a week, working at the site and in the lab. Linda was one of those volunteers. After spending time with us in the lab, Linda asked if there were any supplies we needed or wanted and to write her a wish list. We were all just overwhelmed with surprise and gratitude today as we unpacked the boxes to find all the supplies we had wished for and more! There were approximately 200 brushes in various sizes, scissors, Sharpies, plastic containers, small hand tools, digital calipers, a head lamp, gloves, cotton swabs, chocolate treats, plastic utensils, laundry detergent, and even a stereo microscope with a light source!

Much needed supplies for the lab, site, and crew.

All the brushes!

All of us here at the Nunalleq project wish to say thank you for your generosity- Quyana Linda!

So happy to know everything arrived. My brother Jeff, is also an angel, putting the microscope and some supplies together for you. He has a laser optics business. What luck, eh? Loved meeting you all and your passion about this site is wonderful. All the best to you and thanks for an experience of a lifetime.

    Linda
